Finger Print Wedding Band

While reading one of the many wedding blogs that I follow and of course always doing research for Brittany's wedding, I stumbled across the sweetest and most creative idea for a wedding band. It's a wedding band with your personal finger print engraved in the band. Just think about that....your husband or wife wearing a one of a kind wedding band. No one in the world will have that same band because they will be wearing your finger print on it!

Personally I think this is something I would love to have in the future. I already have a ring I wear that says "Cohen's Mommy Always", but I would totally love a pendant with his finger print and name :)

Can't believe I forgot

To mention in yesterday's post that it was one month until NEW MOON'S release! After all of the hype going on in the media and all of the hype between me and the girls in the office, you would think that I would have thought to mention it in my count down blog yesterday. So in honor of count downs and movies, let's talk about Twilight! Oh yes, I too have jumped on the twilight band wagon and have allowed myself to be sucked in! I've read all of the books (loved them) and every bit of information I can find about the upcoming movies in production. Oh and let's not forget the fact that I've watched every possible clip for New Moon. Sadly, by the time I finally watch the movie I'm sure I will probably already have seen it all just from watching clips and viewing pictures. I mean really is it possible to see these images too many times?.....You know the answer is no!

And I totally must admit that after watching interviews with Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) I find something about him very attractive.

In the beginning of all the Twilight madness I had no clue who he was and definitely didn't find him attractive in the first movie (still don't think I will find him attractive in the other movies either...the blonde doesn't work for him), but seeing the real Jackson in interviews and his band 100 monkeys I definitely find him attractive. I have a weird thing about Highly intelligent/Geeky and Bad Boy/Musically Inclined type guys. Those qualities have a sexiness about them that definitely turns my head for a second look :) Not to mention I definitely go for guys with dark hair. Not that I can't appreciate a guy that is blonde, I just prefer brunette.

Wow...look at that, I've allowed myself to get off the topic. Sorry done with the day dreaming about my type. Back to the subject!

Subject being that there is only a month until New Moon hits theaters and I could not be more excited about this! Between me, the girls in my office and extended friends of ours I think that we are probably going to have a group of 10 to 15 for the movie that night. November 20th can not get her fast enough! Then we'll have June 30th to wait for the release of Eclipse....

The Count Down Has Begun...Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock

AHHHHHHHHHHH! As of last Friday it was officially the one year mark until Brittany's wedding next October! This means Wedding Planner/Maid of Honor me needs to get my butt in gear! There was a location decided upon and we thought it was set in stone, but we are now back to square one with no location. No worries though people, I collected a large list of places for Brittany's review and she's set up appointments for us to meet with some different locations this Sunday. Pray Brittany and Chase like the locations and that they like what they hear from the venues! As wedding planner I know I would feel a lot better knowing there is a location set. I mean with no location set, there is only so much planning you can do. I can tell you that we do definitely have some things in order. Such as: Photographer, Wedding Party, Colors, Date, Basic look/theme of the wedding and wedding attire. Things will definitely be kicked into high gear soon and I will be turned into a wedding planning fool! I'm truly excited about getting things in order and being able to get the over all look of things completed. Saturday was a busy day...

Saturday was a busy day for Mr. Cohen and I. We started the morning with fresh from the skillet pancakes! Mmmmm....what a way to start right? Afterwards we got ready for the day and drove to WalMart for the Touch A Truck event. Being that Cohen is very into trucks this was a big deal for him and he was very excited about it. I will say though, that at first Cohen was afraid to touch/explore any of the vehicles because I think he was afraid it was going to get him in trouble for doing so. It took me a while to explain to him that it was ok for him to get into/crawl on the vehicles.

After convincing Cohen that the trucks were going to "leave to go to work" (hey don't judge, a little white lie won't hurt him), we went back to the house to visit with family who had come down from St. Louis for the day. I don't have any pictures of the family visit, but I do have pictures of Cohen and I carving pumpkins with Aunt Brittany and Uncle Chase at their house!

By the way that "B" was carved by me and it took me way longer than it should have to figure out how to carve it out and it still look like a "B". Ha I'm not always the brightest crayon in the box :)OUR PUMPKINS!

Looking at old pictures of Cohen I was amazed at how much he's changed. It all happens so fast that you don't really realize how amazing it all is.

Once you have a child you understand why your parents say "it seems like just yesterday". Those words have never been so true. "Seems like just yesterday" definitely must be how my parents feel when looking back on my pictures.

OH I couldn't pass on a chance to share the neon green scrunchy on top of my head....the 80's...






Lord knows I definitely had some awkward stages growing up....ha. The alien eyes that consumed the majority of my face, the over bite, the braces and of course the awkward skinny look like a boy because of my broad shoulders....oh yes these were all very fun stages.

One things for sure though after looking at all these pictures....no one could ever mistake the fact that Cohen is my son. He looks way to much like my side of the family :)
