There is a line people...

There is a fine line between unique/fun and tacky. Let me just give examples of the lines that should not be crossed when planning your wedding:

*Please keep in mind that this is my opinion on the matter, and if I insult you by something I'm about to post then I'm sorry. Again this is just my opinion*

1. Tacky Cake Toppers

Really, this is not funny. It's TACKY! Your wedding is supposed to be a symbol of your love and show the personalities of you as a couple, not an image of the things you will later be doing in the honeymoon suite! Please if you find this funny....rethink it. I mean really, do you really want your parents or grandparents seeing such a thing?

2. Balloons

There is a right way and a wrong way to do balloons at a wedding
Right way:

I'm not a fan of balloons at a wedding, but if you must have them then use them in an appropriate manner. Do a balloon release at the end of your ceremony! This can be actually pretty.

The wrong way:

People please, your wedding is not the Prom. Please DO NOT decorate in such a manner. And before anyone asks, yes this is a wedding and not a picture of a child's birthday party.

3. Tulle

I'm not real big on tulle, but a little here and there at a wedding is perfectly acceptable. Decorating every standing object at your ceremony/reception however, IS NOT! Do not allow your ceremony/reception to look like you hit a massive tulle sale at Hobby Lobby or the Tulle Fairy has come along and thrown up on everything!

And lastly, don't let the last image someone has of your wedding day be an image like this:

This bride wore a wool dress... yes you read that right, a wool dress! Surprisingly I will admit that it turned out very pretty in my opinion.

It's official...

On August 26th, 2009 Cohen and I will be traveling to see one very special person....

ONE Guess...

That's right, we are going to see Sesame Stree Live: Elmo's Green Thumb!!!

We'll get to see all these happy smiley faces

But really I know all he'll be concerned about is Elmo, Bert & Ernie :)

I am soooooooo excited about this! I think this will be loads of fun for him and I can't wait to see the excitement on his face!

but.....

I'm also excited because I officially became a fan on the Miranda Lambert website! Do you have any idea what this means???? This means that when I attend her concert in December I will be able to go back for a meet and greet with her! Freaking Miranda Lambert! LOVE HER! Very excited about all of this news :)

I LOVE unique and unexpected things at weddings! This takes the cake ;)

Mommy & Me Date Night With Extra Fun

Our extra fun was Keegan, Audrey and Ron joining us for the night! Our night started out at the Grape Festival to ride rides and play games.

Then of course we had to have dinner....so where does every child want to have dinner? McDonalds of course! HAPPY MEALS FOR EVERYONE!

And to finish the night off we watched Hotel for Dogs in the Park! All in all I'd say the kids had an exciting day.

All I can say is wow...

So today hasn't exactly been eventful, but I've loved it none the less. Lola (my car) got new shoes today (new tires)!!!!! Went to a family friend's baby shower, chatted it up and got invited to a birthday party for some little ones on the 29th. Then came home and I've been snapping pictures and video of all of the kids. I love that more than anything. It's the little relaxing moments like today that I cherish the most. So without dragging this out further, check out my day :)









Keegan wanted to play more than he wanted me to take pictures so I have more of Cohen and Audrey



I really think these two will continue to be very tight and close through the years. They are best friends :)












And as I sit here writing this... it's beautiful weather, the kids have gone on a ride to see Mr. Yama the llama in the truck with my parents, and I'm sitting here listening to the crickets chirp and my brother play the guitar plus we're about to start the grill. Life doesn't get much better than this...
